Waddon Way Roadworks Complete

The Dorset Council Principle Project Engineer for the Waddon Way works advised that the initial phase of works involved cutting back the overgrown vegetation to expose the carriageway.  Once the carriageway was fully revealed, the team began repairs to strengthen the failed areas and ensured the road surface was safe and durable.

During this process, they identified sections where the supporting bank had been undermined or had fallen away. To address this, the team worked closely with the local landowner to gain access to the lower field.  This allowed them to reinstate the bank that should be supporting the carriageway, ensuring the long-term stability of the road.
