Best Kept Allotment Award 2026
Councillors praised the high standard of the Loders allotments during the annual inspection and awarded the trophy to the winners at the July Parish Council meeting.

The annual inspection of the Loders allotments took place in June, with Councillors noting once again the impressive standard of cultivation across the site. Despite the prolonged spell of hot, dry weather and the challenging growing conditions it created, tenants continued to maintain their plots to a high level.
This year, Councillors voted Plot 9 as the Best Kept Allotment. The award was presented at the July Parish Council meeting, where tenants Tim and Julie Kelly received the trophy from Councillor Julie Bryce in recognition of their excellent work.
The Parish Council extends its congratulations to all allotment holders for their continued commitment and care, and offers special commendation to the Plot 9 tenants for their outstanding achievement.
